Feedburner: get the email addresses of your list of subscribers!

You may have heard the rumor that Google is preparing to close Feedburner October 20. In fact, it is not that Feedburner closes but the API disappears. Feedburner has never been a priority for Google now seems to be completely abandoned.

Despite this lack of Google, it would be surprising Feedburner closes without warning. However, I strongly suggest you download a backup copy of the mailing list email your blog. This list that you have built over months and years is undoubtedly a key factor in the distribution of the contents of your blog.

How to retrieve email addresses from your list of subscribers on Feedburner:

  • Access your account Feedburner.
  • Once Feedburner, select the stream of your blog.
  • Then, select the Publicize.

select the Publicize

  • On this window, in the left column, select Email Subscriptions.

  • A sub-menu will appear, click Subscription Management.

  • At the bottom of the page, click on the link that is called Subscribers View Details.

Finally, click Export CSV.

Once you have your list of subscribers in hand, you can easily migrate your customers to another service. There are several alternatives to turn your Feedburner RSS feed newsletter. I suggest you take a look at services like Wysija or MailChimp.
